Speaking for the majority of the Martial Artists that I have spoken to there is no respectful MA chat available for MA that don't want to pay an arm and a leg every time they try to get into some club. The IIMAG allows you to find people with your interests in the MA and chat with them. They also have scheduled chats. You don't have to be a black belt or some major guru to host. If you are just starting and have some questions host a chat. They also have a message board.

Port Hueneme, CA-- Founded by rape and assault prevention expert, Robert Ferguson, has founded the American Freestyle Grappling Association (AFGA). The AFGA has been designed to empower karate, taekwondo and kungfu instructors eager to teach a legitimate grappling program.
The AFGA is dedicated to enhancing the professionalism and overall quality of service in both jujitsu and submission wrestling. "I have been training in submission fighting for only six years and have attained an elite level of skill. In my opinion, it is easier to attain expert grappling skills than elite kicking and striking mastery," explains Ferguson. The AFGA's philosophy is that anyone can teach grappling if they take an educator's approach.
The AFGA provides instructors with continued education on grappling which include techniques that stem from jujitsu, sambo, wrestling and judo. "With many of our martial arts instructors teaching rape and assault prevention, the request for a solid self-defense curriculum has ranked as a priority . . . this is why the AFGA was formed," admits Ferguson.

Do you honestly think that a person with AS LITTLE skill as he had should have the right to start off the whole Sunday Finals event (not forgetting to include his girlfriend and all of his yellow belt students)??? Any decent martial arts instructor in any decent martial arts school could do the job JUST as well, if not better, than Fletcher - King of the Image Scam. We did not come all the way to Columbus, just to watch some pompous fool throw seizures on stage and call it "kicks". We came to see the TOP level martial artists, from whose skill and technique we could LEARN something. I understand the fact that some of the celebrities could not make it to the event - and it's not the organizer's fault at all... But ANY DECENT promoter (and I have some experience with kickboxing and boxing shows) would ONLY advertise stars that are GUARANTEED to come 100% - which comes from the fact that they have PERSONALLY singed a contract or something like that to attend... And I seriously doubt that Jackie Chan and Steven Seagal even KNOW (or care) about such a small disorganized venture in the middle of nowhere... so why were they advertised as guests throughout the year?????? Also, why did the organizers decided to inflate the prices for the final events? It's not that we would see anything different that day than on two previous days (same competitors doing same routines)... And since they DID decide to scam everybody out of their hard-earned $16 - they could at least provide us with something to make it all worthwhile... LIKE demonstrating TOP level martial artists (and there were plenty of them in attendance - Don Wilson, Eric Lee, Cynthia Rothrock, Bill Wallace and etc) perform exhibitions and/or seminars... Anyway, the event was extremely disappointing, since one would expect an improvement over the previous year... something that never happened. Next year - don't forget to notify us if you plan to keep eveyrthing the same - save us a lot of money and time for not coming. And btw, LOSE FLETCHER!!! Promoter is there to PROMOTE the event, while staying behind the scene... and IT DOES NOT MEAN playing GOD in the place, while diligently trying to fool people into thinking that you belong there at the top... HE IS A NOBODY, who very skillfully, I might add, self-promoted himself to non-existing fame. And PLEASE, show us something that we could pay money to see, and NOT two fat hicks flying around the stage while tapping each other on top of the head... And don't tell me that they actually think they KNOW how to fight... I would pay a lot more than $16 just to see someone like Wilson or Maurice Smith come up on stage and show them what being a REAL WORLD champion is all about...
