I am 9 years old and have just began taking TaeKwonDo lessons
and I like it very much. My school owners are friends of Chuck Norris and they have a picture of him with themselves and their little girl.
I broke my first board today and it was exciting and it felt
really good. I did it with a step behind side kick. I have learned
how much power you can have when you know how to use it. I look
forward to each and every lesson and I enjoy it very much. I am a
white belt with 3 stripes and look forward to getting my yellow belt
soon.

To The Grand Masters, Masters and Owners of Martial Schools:
It is a great pleasure to present the first professional Taekwondo Championship. The Professional Taekwondo Federation (PTF) is the first and only authorized professional
Taekwondo federation of its kind in the United States. There is a great vision for the PTF to grow. The purpose of establishing the PTF is to foster and promote
the growth of martial arts on the soils of the U.S. and help and support each school in its development. This is the
initial stage and the very beginning of the tremendous growth to come in the future.
For this reason the PTF and the Texas State Professional Taekwondo Federation (TSPTF) tournament organizing committee will give back some of
the entry fee to the owners of the martial arts school. Those schools who bring 10-29 students will receive a
return of fees of 20% - those bringing 30 or more will receive 30% of fees. The grand championship awards are $6,000 -70% of which goes to the individual
and the remaining 30% will be awarded to the winning competitor's school. Each division champion is $500.
There will be 8 divisions each for men and women. The final pro-championship will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on April 25, 1998. Between the final matches
of each weight division there will be exhibitions featuring the US vs Canada, the US vs Mexico. There will
also be demonstration competitions by martial arts schools ($1,000 award to the best performing school). Any school may apply for this demonstration.
The first 10 applications will be chosen to compete.
There will be a parade of the participating martial arts schools around the West University
area at 8:30 AM. The competition participants, their coaches, the Boy Scouts, and the Big
Brothers and Sisters of Houston will be taking part.
We look forward to your enthusiasm and participation in this premiere
event. In concert we will all grow together.

Comments: Anyone who is Tae Kwon Do should reconsider what they are doing, TKD is worthless when the fight goes to the ground, and almost all fights go to the ground. TKD is ok if your not into any grave element of danger when you spar at competitions, your all padded up and punches dont count for points.TKD has little to no respect amongst the no rules and submission style competitions, this is the wave of the future.TKD has fallen behind in the martial arts world. Sad but true

We have just gone through a major remodeling project that has given us lots of space. I am always interested in other instructors ideas for new and exciting ways to keep kids excited about the Martial Arts.

There are 10 fights scheduled along with four demo's and I will be performing the 15 minute extravaganza demo by myself. If you guys miss it, I will surely place a copy in your hands.

community a little about myself! Now i have been in martial arts half
my life and i have always been interested in going to tournaments
but never had the chance . Also i have always dreamed of going to the far east japan, china and have a private sensei and train.But
like i said i never had the chance or the money , and i know everything in this physical world takes money. But if somebody in
this world would give me that chance that is high up,in the martial
arts,i would not disapoint you . I would do whatever it takes to
master whatever someone would train me in.and i think that i could
become something special throughout the world!! Now i have" veiwed" many things in my life but truely think,if the chance was
there i would be great . I have the history of jean-claude Vanberg,
is his true name. And he started when he was a little and trained all
his life, got known in his own country and was points fighter for a
while ,and did some other things. Came to America , slept in his car
met chuck man norris , and trained with him for while on weight
training ,and other. Then he talked to John Woo for while and sat
in the chairs in spit mode . And "woo" was impressed by him, so
he got his first job in {Bloodsport} !!! I think that's correct . But now
almost ten years later people want sue him for accidently hurting
them,that is not fair because if you do movie you take the risk in
getting hurt, like" Brandon lee " and i think that guy is a complainer.
What can i say about" Stephen Segall", I think he is very cockey
type of person and i think and i think that he is jealous of" jean"
and i think that the martial arts world feels the same torwards that.!!
If there was one person i would want to personally meet some day it
would be"Jean-Claude Vandamm" because i've respected him. I
am worried though, because of the news about him the last year.
I know he has'nt made a movie for while, and that worries me ,as
far as i'm concerned he is as close as someone like himself has
to "Bruce Lee" has come around in a long time, and if this message
is ever sent to "Jean-Claude " that i would like to ask you "Jean
that to go back to your old ways before you were reconized or in
the "media" and all the power that you have now and to rise above
the" drugs and achohol " and be like you use to be when you did'nt
have nothing , if that's true. Remember your the one that raised alot
of peoples attention to martial arts, and there alot of people that look
up to !! So please either get help or do something about it yourself!!
Remember you went to"Brandons funeral " i dont want see you
get hurt in any way like that,or hurt yourself because you have
in many ways in your movies for justice , and defense against other
people that think that they can come in to people lives and destroy
their . All im truely asking from you is come and show the world your
not as bad off as they thought you were sincerly ,{ Kal Shadden}
And also for anybody that reads this i have trained in Shotokon,
okinawan, nijitsu, mui tai, dragon,and i think that i would someday
like to train in " Jeet koon DO" but like i said if there is someboy out
there would train i would thanyou with all my heart , soul ,spirit
and mind !!! I somebody gets this out to "jean" because i would
like to meet you. The last sensei that i had was" Joseph Walker"
two" World Karate Champion of U.S.K.A " and i respected him
but i moved on for some reason and I now live in Denver,Co.
AND HAV'NT TRAINED since then but want to go back to
training and become something special . I had a half brother
named" Randy Holman" that was a" U.S & World Karate Champion" back in the 70's i think but i've never met him either.!

I would have written this earler but I just got on the net to the
message out.I have taken three different styles which iclude dragon,
shotokon,and okinawin karate. And even though i hav'nt trained in
a long time I still care very much about martial arts and the way.
